Dr Saleem Ali BDS (Birmingham)

Principal Dentist

Dr Saleem Ali graduated from the University of Birmingham Dental School in 2000.

After initially working in the Midlands, he returned to his home city of Glasgow in 2003, where he continues to offer the highest standard of care to his patients. Saleem has undertaken postgraduate training at the Eastman Dental Institute which is part of the University College London. He completed the course’s Certificate of Restorative Dentistry in 2007 which involved a year long study into all aspects of general dentistry. This programme is taught by the top specialists in their fields.

Saleem pays close attention to detail and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. He is a certified 6 month smiles and Inman aligner provider and can also offer clear aligner treatment.

Away from work Saleem enjoys playing football. cycling, running and generally keeping fit. He tries to fit in as many of the above activities as possible in between helping to look after his three very ‘energetic’ young children!


Dr Burhan Nasim BDS (Glasgow)

Principal Dentist

Dr Burhan Nasim completed his dental degree and graduated from Glasgow University in 2004. Prior to entering general dental practice, Burhan spent two years in postgraduate hospital training where he advanced his skills and gained further qualifications. He attained his MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and has worked in the Maxillofacial Unit at the Southern General Hospital and the departments of Oral Surgery, Public Health and Restorative Dentistry at Glasgow Dental Hospital, where he was a Senior House Officer.

Burhan soon developed a keen interest in restoring patients’ smiles, especially the replacement of missing teeth using implants. He has completed advanced implant training at one of the most recognisable and sought after institutions in the United Kingdom. In addition to this, spending hundreds of hours of postgraduate training with the very best implant dentists in the world has ensured that his patients receive the highest standards of care.

Burhan is married with two active young sons who keep him occupied when he is not working.

Burhan enjoys going to the gym and is a keen footballer for which he has many awards. He is also a keen traveller and most recently has been to Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. He has also undertaken a tour of USA where he has visited both the east and west coasts, and of Europe where he visited Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy and Spain.


Manveer Gill

Associate Dentist

GDC No. – 179436

Manveer joined our team in 2015 as our associate dentist. Manveer graduated from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff with first class honours in dental technology, she then went onto Glasgow University to complete her degree in dentistry. With her technology background, Manveer has a particular interest in removable prosthodontics and orthodontics but enjoys all aspects of dentistry.

Manveer has completed postgraduate training in facial aesthetics and short-term orthodontics. She carries out anti-wrinkle treatment, dermal filler treatment and CFAST orthodontics.

Outside of work Manveer has a particular interest in keeping fit and working hard at the gym.

Manveer has hung up her dental scrubs temporarily whilst on maternity leave and will be back with us in 2018.

MaryAnne Lynch Small

Associate Dentist

GDC No. – 264076

MaryAnne joined the team in 2017. She graduated with a BDAS from the University of Dundee. After graduation she completed her Vocational Training in Edinburgh prior to returning home to Glasgow.

Further to general practice her involvement in Mouth Cancer Awareness charities during time at university and beyond boosts interest in Dental Public Health, oral health awareness and delivering the best possible preventative advice. MaryAnne expanded her dental horizons during a month long visit to Ecuador in 2015 where she provided dental care to communities along the Amazon tributaries.

Outside of dentistry she enjoys playing hockey, having recently re-joined her childhood team in Glasgow. MaryAnne also likes to travel having recently visited Costa Rica and east coast USA.


Mia Mortimer

Hygiene Therapist

GDC No. – 264229

Mia, our Dental Therapist, joined our team in 2017. She graduated, with distinction, from the University of Dundee with a BSc in Oral Health Sciences. After her graduation she completed her Vocational training year in Dunoon.

In addition to general practice, Mia undergoes constant training in Periodontal treatment and Restorative Dentistry in order to keep up to date with the sector leading practice. Throughout her time in Dundee Mia worked closely with the Public Dental Health Service, during which she found a passion for working with adults and children with additional needs and issues with accessing dental care.

Out with dentistry, Mia thoroughly enjoys playing hockey with her home hockey team, attending concerts and going to the cinema with her friends. Mia has enjoyed carrying out multiple house building charity missions in South Africa and plans on stretching her horizons to Dental work in Nepal and West Africa. Aside from catching the travelling bug Mia is looking forward to adopting her very own French Bulldog.

Dental Nurses

Umarah Saleem

Dental Nurse

GDC No: – 263756

Umarah joined the practice in 2014 as a trainee and completed her dental nursing diploma in 2015. She has a warm and cheery manner with all patients and particularly enjoys working with the children in the practice. She enjoys all aspects of dental nursing and is a friendly and hardworking nurse. Umarah has a particular interest in implant surgery and also enjoys assisting Burhan during complex surgical procedures. In her free time she enjoys cooking and baking cakes.


Stacey Young

Dental Nurse

GDC No: – 267174

Stacey joined the practice in 2016 as a trainee Dental Nurse and shortly after qualified with an HNC in dental nursing at Coatbridge College. Stacey enjoys working chairside and has an interest in all aspects of dentistry from root canal treatments to surgical extractions. Earlier this year she took on the role of training our apprentices Paige and Hannah in surgery.

Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with friends and going to fitness classes at the gym.


Rozina Ahmed

Dental Nurse

Rozina joined our team in 2013 as a trainee Dental Nurse and has since developed her skills both in surgery and at reception. She has also been a mentor for trainee nurses who are now qualified at the practice. She has a keen interest in dental laboratory work and enjoys making splints, retainers and whitening trays.

At home, she enjoys cooking Indian food and creating henna designs which she finds therapeutic. She is due to welcome her first bundle of joy this winter so will be kept very busy over the next few months! We wish her all the best during her maternity leave and hope to see her back soon!

Paige Brown

Trainee Dental Nurse

Paige moved from Hawick to Glasgow in 2016, a year later she joined our practice as a trainee Dental Nurse and hopes to have finished and completed her course by July 2018. Paige loves every aspect of dentistry and enjoys learning new and exciting things every day. She is proud to be part of such a friendly and dedicated team.

Outside of work Paige likes to visit old friends and family and relive her childhood hobby, horse riding.


Dayna Sheldon

Trainee Dental Nurse

Dayna is the newest member of Kings Park Dental and is currently in training to become a Dental Nurse. She is hoping to finish her course by autumn of 2018. Dayna previously worked in an afterschool care and loves interacting with the children who visit the practice.

In her free time, Dayna enjoys keeping fit by going long walks and spending time with her family and friends at the weekend.


Hannah Johnston

Trainee Dental Nurse

Hannah joined our practice in 2017 as a trainee Dental Nurse. She loves the spontaneity of each day and working as part of a team. Alongside this, she enjoys learning new things, but it is meeting and treating our patients that make her day even more enjoyable.

Aside from being a dental nurse, Hannah is a Brownie Guide Leader and is known to 40 young girls as “Snowy Owl”. She was previously a competitive swimmer and coach for the Kingston swim team.

Other interests of Hannah’s include playing the piano and walking her dog … when it’s dry.
